Whether you are student, new-graduate, or professional, SOHO deeply values all of it’s volunteers. All SOHO volunteers have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience to better understand the organization, the current cultural and economic climate in Swaziland, the issues and needs of the children, the impact of HIV/AIDS on the country and individuals affected by the virus, and how SOHO works to address needs and come up with sustainable solutions.
SOHO workers are ultimately storytellers making a difference in the lives of the children through their individuals skills, talents, and personal experience. Passion and genuine compassion drives us to dream, as we all are hope seekers, working for a brighter future for the children of child headed households.
Participate in SOHO’s Upcoming Events–SOHO hosts and coordinates several events throughout the year to build awareness and resources to benefit the children of child headed households.
Help at Home–At the SOHO Offices in Indianapolis, IN, we appreciate all volunteer work whether it’s secretarial, or organizing and loading materials to be shipped in a container. To volunteer at our home offices, contact us!
Donate Your Skills and Expertise–Professionals both newer and seasoned, are welcomed with open arms to join SOHO’s international network of collaborators in our mission to improve the quality of life and life expectancy of children in child headed households. View Our People.
Student Interns–SOHO selects numerous students for internships throughout the year to coordinate fundraising events, develop local and overseas programs, and promote SOHO and its mission. If you are interested in interning, contact us!
Traveling overseas to our base in Swaziland not only helps volunteers understand the beauty of the country, as well as the difficulties faced by the children on a daily basis. Volunteers who participate in trip will get to work hard, and play hard. Truly, embracing the children you are advocating for is a life changing experience.
